We’re all looking to succeed and make it to the next level, right? Step up your career prep and achieve success with PrepSTEP.
Need to study for the NCLEX, TEAS, Nurse Aide, Culinary Arts, Cosmetology, or other career certifications, including additional allied health exams? Need to study for a placement test, boost your math, science, or writing skills, or even work on your basic computer skills?
PrepSTEP provides interactive tutorials, practice tests for entrance exams and occupational exams, and ebooks—for self-guided skill building, career preparation, and workforce readiness.
Use the link from the library’s Articles, Journals, and Databases box on the library homepage (P for PrepSTEP) and log in off-campus by using your Durham Tech username and password–the same one you would use for Sakai or Self-Service.
In order to access the tutorials and practice tests, you’ll need to create an individual account. You can either use your Durham Tech email or another personal email address and create a password. This is your account– it is not already created for you.
Learning in PrepSTEP is done via Centers, and you can access all of your Centers via the hompage once you register.
PrepSTEP is a part of EBSCO’s Learning Express Library and has lots of resources for college students and a few for students preparing to go to college.
Looking for TEAS practice tests? Click on the Career Preparation Center and then the Allied Health option.
Hoping to hone your writing, grammar, and other English skills? There’s a Center for that! You can learn and explore deeply once you browse through the Core English Skills Center.
There are practice sets which include tests, tutorials, eBooks, articles, and even flash cards to help you study and succeed!
