Not all areas of the Main Campus Library are for quiet study (check out our recent blog post for a list of some of the types of study areas available in our campus libraries), but when you need silence and as few distractions as possible, the Quiet Room is the place for you!
The Main Campus Library had a revamp in the works and our furniture came in the Spring of 2020, just in time for …no one to be on campus. 🙁
Now our study rooms are open again, and students can take advantage of the lovely new furniture in our Quiet Room, including–
two charging chairs,
12 individual study carrels,
and three individual private quiet study rooms (with air purifiers and available for checkout at the front desk).
It’s good to be back! Check out our revamped space!
Thanks to Institute of Museum and Library Services under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) as administered by the State Library of North Carolina, a division of the NC Department of Natural and Cultural Resources for the funding that allowed us to purchase air purifiers and surge protectors with USB connectors to reopen our study spaces.
