The World Federation for Mental Health established October 10 as World Mental Health Day to raise awareness and support of mental health and reduce stigma.
This year’s theme is “Mental Health in an Unequal World.”
Mental health and well-being are central to the way we live, work, study, connect with others, and contribute to our communities. It’s especially important to address and uplift mental health during these unpredictable and overwhelming times that continually expose and enact the inequities in our society.

- Free individual counseling services and additional resources for current students through the Counseling, Accessibility, and Resources Office
- Academic tutoring and tech skills coaching through the Center for Academic Excellence
- Find pregnancy, childcare, and social support for Durham Tech students with children
- Request over-the-counter medications and wellness supplies through the Campus Wellness Dispensary
- Request assistance with food and household supplies through the Campus Harvest Food Pantry
- Stay connected to others at Durham Tech by joining a student club or organization, participating in an interest group, or attending an event.
