Need general information or some background or basics to get started on a research assignment? Know that you shouldn’t head to Wikipedia if you want to use it for a class assignment?
Try Credo Reference!
Credo does not contain scholarly journal articles, but it is packed with reference information pulled from hundreds of books that can be cited for assignments.
You can filter search results to by source, type, or date. You can look for articles or images.
If you find an article that you want to use for your research paper, you can use Credo’s cite tool and get a rough draft for your citation.
Want help brainstorming keywords? Credo’s got you.
Credo searches automatically generate mind maps that will give you related terms to explore. You can use these terms in the Credo database or write them down to use to find other resources for your assignments.
In addition to providing information from books and e-books in its own collection, Credo also links searchers to articles from vendors of some of our other library databases, such as Gale and ProQuest.

As with all our library databases, you’ll use your Durham Tech username and password to access it off-campus (same as you’d use for Sakai or Self-Service).
